I have first my 8 year old had them 3 years ago and they were awful.... they said selson blue and they would turn purple... Now 3 years later my almost two year old has them Nobody seems to know what to do for them.. When we went to the Bahamas they went away for my one Daughter...I think it was the amount of salt in the water.. however with my new one having the same thing. After comming home from Hawaii she was covered..I was told it was a fungus either from the sand or water....I would love to know more and am doing alot of research.....
Mt granddaughter has this. The correct spellling is molluscum. WEBMD has information on the virus and treatment options. The dermatologist prescribed a cream to put on the bumps that "burned" the top layer of skin and caused it to blister. The molluscum bumps went away in those spots but came back elsewhere. Plus the "burning" was painful for her and her skin looked worse from the treatment. Currently we are trying to "smother" the bumps with neosporin and bandaids.
Hi - my daughter currently has this condition all over her bum and now have spread. They are viral and highly contagious. They can be spread by using the same towel or even taking a bath so you have to keep them away from other siblings. I'm currently seeing a dermatologist and they treat them with what he calls "beetle juice." I'm not sure what it is, but they apply it directly on the top of the mollescum and then it blisters it and makes it go away. It can be painful for 24 hours after treatment and then you have to have more than one treatment to get rid of all of them. You need to see a dermatologist because my pediatrician told me they would eventually go away, but it can take forever and in the meantime they can spread throughout your entire family. Also they can spread to the face so you need to seek treatment.
my 4yo dtr has the same, she has only a few but they are on her eye lid toward the nose. has anyone dealt with this? we can't use creams because of the location. we've set up an appointment to see a dermatologist.
my best friend who is now 12 has disvored that she has moleskum and has gotten them frozen, but with me being around her alot i have noticed bumps on my legs that she has told me look like moleskum.......i havent done anything about them yet because i am not sure if that is exactly what i have identified to be moleskum. . . . . . i would love to learn more about this and how to cure the disease!!!!

There are a lot of different treatments online, but which one to believe? I've never heard of this virus, it seemed like nothing, but now I hear about scarring and we are terrified. Anyone know of a REAL cure, please let me know.
i fowarded this to a friend whos son has/had it on his face and was treated, i believe successfully. my dtr still has a spot on her eye lid along the eye lashes. most cleared on thier own without treatment. good luck!

There is a treatment. My daughter has it and the doctor said he could burn them off. But in the area where they are we are trying to avoid that. You either have to wait them out or have them burned off. It can take up to 6 months for them to go away.
