Protocel - crap or not? Skeptikal 11:46:51
 Hey guys,

What about this Protocel stuff? They have a fairly convincing website
and supposedly it helps MS. It was discussed here once in 2000 but you
guys didn't say anything conclusive.

http://alternativecancer.us/protocel.htm

What do you guys think now? I want to hear the scientific view not
subjective opinions.

Thanks,
Tony

MMAR what do you get bobbyD 06:14:54
you get 2 official forms from the federal govt.

i am getting them framed,,, you also now get 1 ID card with your picture
on it,, previously they gave 2 cards,, now all the info is on one.

you are allowed to carry a certain amount of marijuana anywhere in Canada,,,
you have a storage amount which is bigger than the carrying amt,,, and a
production liscence to produce a certain amt. of plants,,

these numbers are all based on your daily intake doseage.

i can carry over 1/2 pound of marijuana anywhere in Canada , on any plane,
train or boat,, i can smoke it in any place someone can smoke a ciggarette,,
in public areas anytime i wish.

people can say anything negative they want about pot, the fact is this- i
use it to relieve the pain caused by a drug for MS - Betaseron.

betaseron has caused HOW MANY people to suffer a serious side effect????

it was approved safe????

marijuana has caused no tumors to grow in my abdomen that cause permanent
pain,,

this is what i say to anyone that asks about health issues and marijuana,,

it also helps my ms problems,, as well as my serious pain issues,,,
marijuana has many benefits,, but its not the only drug i use,,, i need
others,,, together i have found my happy place.

i dont understand the reluctance of the USa to include marijuana as a
medicine,,

well actually i do ,,,

Nighttime sweating! Tim 08:07:32
 Hi all,

having recently begun a series of anti-depressants (Cipralix 20mg)
following a rough patch, I have begun to experience a lot of nighttime
sweating. There really is a lot of it and a towel has become a regular
accompaniment to going to bed. A recent search of medical websites has
shown that others have experienced this i.e. anti-depressant use and
nighttime sweating. Has anyone else experienced something similar and
is there any advice you can give,

in wet anticipation
Thanks

nighttime incontinence Timmythesaint 20:26:59
 Hello all,

sorry to ask about a potentially embarasing subject but here goes!

I suffer from nighttime incontinence, which necessitates the wearing of
nappies at night. They are fairly small but still. These are sometimes
enough but sometimes not and this also means a lot of sheet washing and
bed airing, as well as an angry and depresed me. Does anyone have any
ideas of how I can possibly do anything about this?

My doctor has said that I should avoid drinking liquids after 6 pm
which I am sure is correct but is also extremely impracticle. I have
the other problem that I am on medication to help with the passing of
water, as I have had occassions in the past where I wanted to go, but
couldn't. My body can't seem to work it out, so I thought I would draw
on the vast experience which you all have proved to be.

Any help would be highly appreciated.

Thanks

Tim

Who said it was Gov. Kathleen Blanco who ordered not to give people water.
The other night in a report from N.O., from a helicopter, some survivors
asked for water & the people from the helicopter said they where told by the
military not to give water because the people wouldn't leave. I have it
recorded. And your information is old. I heard that on the first couple of
days & I was major pissed at the time.

MRI for measurement of progression? Guest 07:11:40
Could some of the posters comment ofn the use of MRI to monitor the
progression of MS.

There appear to be conflicting views from the medical people.

On the one hand, MRI is viewed as a "Moment in time" picture. whereas
other feel that regular scans can show the progression.

Unfortunately, some lesions/plaques shown at one scan may be absent on
a later scan.

How do YOU feel about this?

NaturallySpeaking Professional Advanced Scripting script recorder John Doe 06:54:56
Hi. I've been doing macroing in Windows for a long long time. I
bought Visual C++ programming language just to write my own macro
recorder. Anyway, NaturallySpeaking Professional has exceptional
playback capability, so I don't mess with playback anymore. But I
wrote an Advanced Scripting recorder since that's not included.
Hopefully it will work on any Windows XP SP2 system. It will record
and write keystrokes, and add the appropriate header/footer to the
output file. It will do mouse clicks too, but only for a screen
resolution of 1024x768 currently.

Ear Pain Boondocks 21:16:31
 Hi All,

Has anyone experienced ear pain as an MS symptom? I'm having acute deep ear
pain that seems to come and go. I'm going to get it checked out to make sure
its not something else, but I was speaking to a SS nurse today who thought
it could be MS related. With the coming and going nature of it, its got me
curios. Hope you're all well.
