Call up Cosmo and have them scour all their 1980's issues for it. Implore them to re release it.
Tell them its on ONE page, the Diet is 4 days long, has green beans, lamb chops, eggs, grapefruit and iceberg lettuce in it.
I lost 10 pounds on it in 4 days.

I am soooo looking for this diet...I used it years ago and lost weight...I remember it had lots of eggs and grapefruit...please send copy if you have the diet!

Maybe 2 lbs. in 4 days. I seriously doubt any diet would result in a twenty pounds lost in just four days! If a person could drop 20 pounds in 4 days then anybody could get stick thin in no time at all. You did make a typo, right?

I agree, this diet does work! I have done it before and lost 10lbs. I am starting it again Monday, because I have a suit to wear in Sunday and it is a bit snug. I know it will fit by the end of next week. Don't knock it til you try it!!!
I can't believe I found a post talking about this diet! I have the original article from Cosmo's magazine back from the '90s when they listed this diet. The only difference is that day 2 is a lamb chop, not a pork chop. I'm just finishing up a 3 day diet and going to do this next.
I have the original Cosmo article folded up somewhere, too.... I think it was about 1980, 1981, maybe 1982.... and IT WORKS. I did it for about 4 weeks (I know that's a no-no, but there was slight cheating during the last couple of weeks, including some alcohol, but mostly just an extra lamb chop or eating a different day's dinner)..... and I must have lost about 20 pounds.... my clothes were SWIMMING ON ME. I lost about 2-3 dress sizes in four weeks. I don't know how it works, but it DOES, for the skeptics out there. The only reason more people don't do this is because you really don't KEEP it off... it's not really FAT you're burining, it's a lot of water loss. It was never designed to be a permanent weight loss tool. It does what it SAYS it should do: Make you lose about 10 pounds very quickly for whatever your immediate need is, like a wedding or important event that you want to look thin for quickly. I say it is also a very encouraging start for those who want to lose even more weight, in that you can see how you look thinner and then thereafter go to a more sensible, long-term diet to lose the rest of the weight.
I first tried this diet in the late 1970's. I lost 10 to 15 pounds every time I did the diet. In all I dropped about 30 lbs over a several month period of alternating this diet with my regular diet. Only difference... no pork chops... lamb chops were on the diet.
