From what I have read Blaine Jelus had sustained a knee injury during a fishing trip. That injury as well as the decision of FitTV, not foodtv, to cancel his series, ultimately ended with Blaine gaining some weight back. I think setbacks are a part of every dieters journey.
Rumors have Blain shopping around for a new show that is based more on low glycemic index foods (foods that do not turn to glucose as quickly as others) rather than a strict Atkins regimen, allowing more choices that are lower in fat hopefully. Although his recipes where delicious, they where too caloric for continual weight loss.
No hero ever lived a life without failures. If Einstein was on TV with a reality invention show, can you imagine how much criticism he would have gotten? Blaine, wherever you are, I hope you're staying strong and figuring out your next step forward. I bet it will be fabulous. Remember, anyone can lose weight, everyone can criticize someone who's taking risks in life, but only a unique few can touch thousands of strangers' lives!
To Blaine and anyone how can get a message to him... Thank you for your show. I certainly identified with you. I have been a PA resident my whole life, battled weigh gain/loss virtually my entire life and similar age to Mr. Jelus. I certainly enjoyed your show and wish you well. Visiting the various markets in and around the Philly area, involving his family in the show, etc...
People speculate as to the ending of the show, i.e. weight gain, etc... I dont know and I dont care. It was an informative and well done show. I dont spend a great deal of time in the kitchen but I certainly enjoyed seeing Blaine cook. I's wish to visit a restaurant if Blaine were to ever cook professionally again. If anyone knows if thats possible, if they can email me at c21danpowell@gmail.com... I would appreciate the info.
