I started it 2 weeks ago today, and in the 11 days, I lost 11 lbs.. took the 3 cheat days they say are imperative to have this work ( tricks your body and metabolism into preparing itself for the next 11 day diet cycle ). I gained 2 lbs in the 3 cheat days - and now I'm back on it again. So like they claim.. 9 lbs in 11 days is right on the money.
It's so easy to follow and I feel great.. more energy, and love seeing the #'s on the scale drop literally every single day!

If you check the Wikipedia article it tells you that trans fats are added to vegetable oils during the DEODORIZATION process. Most palatable vegetable oils came about in the 50's after world war II when petroleum products replaced them in industry. Prior to that as you know many people used butter and lard and alot of commercial products used coconut oil. All veggie oils contain polyunsaturated(Omega-6) fats and long chain fatty acids have been shown to cause cancer...canola has very long chain fatty acids(per wiki article). Saturated fat isnt your enemy...hormones, antibiotics, by-product animal feed,and lack of excercise are the real culprits. Consider the eskimoes who had a traditional diet high in saturated fats and raw meat. They were very healthy and upon switching to our diets many eskimoes start having diseases like obesity or diabetes.

its a very compelling article...I recommend it for everyone. Also..for everyone wondering about raw meat(im not advocating it) but part of the problem with E.Coli is that we feed our cows grain diets. Grain diets increase the acidity in the stomach of the cows and through natural selection E.Coli that CAN survive high acid environments(which isnt normal for E.coli) survive and then are able to survive our digestive tracts. In grass fed animals this process doesnt happen and very little e.coli is found in them anyway. Also, E.coli can be spread in slaughterhouses when manure falls on the meat...common with chicken processing because of the way they are killed look it up yourselves. |

| | The Maggie Drozd Diet is based on taking "spice" capsules. Based on the ingredients of the capsules, they are simply diet pills, with many of the same ingredients that are used in other weight loss drugs.
The spices include: Advantra Z, Cayenne pepper, Garcinia cambogia, hydroxycitric acid, Ginger root, Green tea extract, Kola nut extract, Yerba mate, Guarana extract, White Willow Bark extract, Pepper powder, Paprika powder, Mustard dry extract powder, Nutmeg dry extract, Caraway seed extract, Chromate.
These "spice" capsules combine a host of common weight loss herbs. Each have side-effects, despite the fact several of these herbs are added to lessen the side-effects of other herbs. This is a highly questionable strategy to attempt to lessen side-effects. Basically, these capsules function as stimulants to elevate blood pressure and heart rate in order to increase metabolism. Medical research has shown that only green tea extract works as advertised by its proponents. It is an effective treatment for indigestion and diarrhea, which happens to be a side-effect of several of the herbs listed above as ingredients in the "spice" capsules.
The bottom line: most diet pills work in the short-term, but in order to maintain the weight loss they would have to be taken indefinitely, which is completely unreasonable for your health.This much can be assumed with diet pills: they are {censored} and don't address the basics of sensible weight loss: change of mindset about life, balanced pill-free nutrition and exercise. Diet pills and supplements have side-effects which make taking them in the long-term unreasonable. Quit taking the pills and the weight almost always comes back. If any diet pill really worked in the long-term it would be impossible to avoid in our society. |
