YES- and mine is also from WalMart. I have NEVER previously had this nasty smell in my metformin. It has been within the past 4-5 refills that this is a problem. I asked the pharmasist just last weekend and she blew me off, and said that she has other meds that smell worse. I am trying to contact the FDA regarding it. I have gained so much weight that I have moved from a size 8 jean to a size 12 since these pills seem to have been changed, in April. Considering the metformin is what helps me to keep the weight off, I find the coincidence just too much for me to leave alone. Oh-the manufactering company on my bottle is listed as Sandoz.

My metformin also has a strong fishy odor as does my urine since using it. I have a doctors appt. next month and intend to ask him about it. Do any of you have similar circumstance with metformin? ;D
