Great drug for nerve related pain... I have DDD and am waiting for the new disks to be FDA approved. I also take codeine. But the cymbolta has made a huge reduction in my pain. Altho there are side effects (kinda sleepy sometimes) and you will yawn alot at first.... It's definitely worth trying it. Stick with it at least a 10 days tho. Jim in san diego
I give cymbalta a thumbs up for right now... only been on it 3 weeks..I have been taking it for chronic pain and my appetite has decreased (GREAT!!) of course it has been helping with the pain too..my only concern is that my stomach started swelling and I started having a burning censation around my heart...The doctor put me in the hospital for observation because I have already had 2 heart attacks and I am only 54 years old and a female.. The found that I had a gastric ulcer, errosion, and my esophogus needed stretching....don't know what brought it on but I wouldn't think it would have been the cymbalta.
