questions: medicine side effects, disability, etc.

Hi all,
I've had crohn's for about 15 years. About two years ago I was diagnosed with a "medically induced depression from years of high risk drugs." I was extremely ill for about a year, and have never really been the same since. Have any of you experienced a similar problem, and has anyone been granted disability benefits because of something like this? I'm getting tired
