Great actors, and I always wanted to have a look at this lifestyle.
I can't really think of why polygamy should not be allowed, as long as the women are not forced into it and all members of the family are supported and not on public assistance, as are many of the *wives* in Utah, or so I hear.
I read that Jeanne Tripplehorn, a feminist, initially had a real problem playing her character. There are a few actors from Twin Peaks in this as well.
I'd love to hear your Sopranos thoughts too. --- Nellie Paris

i've only watched the first episode. i'll catch last night's from on demand. to be honest, i think i'll need more than just the pilot to decide further. like you i'm curious about this lifestyle...

too early for me to tell. last night's episode (season 6, episode 2) was probably the worst i've ever seen. Robert Iler (AJ) never was a great actor, but he was really bad last night. he simply was not believable at all...

I only watched the first episode too. I think it would have been cool to do a woman with 3 husbands instead.

Anybody still miss Six Feet Under? How about Carnivale? (mmmmm, Clancy Brown.)

Oh, I'm so upset about the cancellation of Carnivale that I could just spit nickels. I wrote HBO a nastygram, but never heard "boo" back from them.
Unfortunately, I'm hooked on Rome, The Sopranos, and Big Love - and am panting in anticipation of the Elizabeth I mini-series - so I'm afraid I'll still pay for HBO service whether I'm mad about Carnivale or not.
