| WHY??? Jamie Dolan 18:38:36 |
| | why wont any doctors help me when i feel this way???
read the med stuff if you want... but please look at the depression, attention, etc...
cant some of this be helped with medicine?
Should I have to wake up every single day making a list "The 10 best ways to die today" ??????
Jamie
Detailed Explaination:
Depression: I am too depressed on a daily basis to have any real desire
to do anything. Everything is a hassle, and almost nothing seems worthwhile. I have been searching for something meaningful to do, however, everytime I find something, I lose intrest / Motovation / attention very quickly.
Attention: Poor, very hard to stay focused on one topic for more than several minutes at a time without my mind wandering and going off to a different subject. This makes it very very difficult to get anything done.
Motovation: Extremely unmotivated. Almost no motovation. Lack the desire to do almost anything. All I really want to do is lay around and sleep or watch tv. Losing intrest in taking care of myself and getting to appointments. If something does not change soon, I feel I will barely have the motovation to get out of bed.
Anxeity: Somewhat better with the Indernal / Propranal.
***
Cognitive Approaches: E-mailed some people about re-training / entry level job programs. I really have no desire for these basic jobs, and don't have any motovation to go to do much any kind of work. My social
skills and interaction are still poor, and my anger is often out of perportion and is uncontroalable.
***
Thoughts on Medication:
I don't think that the luvox, and effexxor are really doing much of anything at all right now. Since we switched to the 10mg dexidrine from the 15mg dexidrine er, I have become more depressed, and my attention and desire seems to be worse.
The Inderall LA seems to help some with the Anxeity, and I think I want
to see about moving the dose of it up higher at the end of the first month.
I would like to consider discontinuing effexxor and luvox and going onto Adderal XR, and Selegiline (Eldepryl).
I would like to continue on the folowing:
Inderall LA 80 mg (Anxeity / Migrane Prevention) Requip .25 at bed (PLMD / RLS) Klonloplin 1mg BID (Anxeity) Clartin-D /q (Allgeries) Librax PRN (IBS) Lomotil PRN (IBS) Hydrocodone PRN (Migranes) Tylenol 1-2grms PRN (Migranes) Naproxen 220-440 PRN (Migranes / Muscle Pain)
I have been diagnosised with the following:
Executive disfunction Aspburgers OCD ADD Depression Generalized Anxeity Disorder with Specfic Phobias High Cholestoal

EfalexВ© has nothing to do w/ ADHD ... for y, then x must be beneficial for z. Kind of like saying that a quadruple cardiac bypass is beneficial for those who suffer from coronary artery disease and ...
www.healthline.bravehost.com What Is Coronary Artery Disease?
Coronary artery disease (CAD) occurs when the arteries that supply blood to the heart muscle (the coronary arteries) become hardened and narrowed. The arteries harden and narrow due to buildup of a material called plaque (plak) on their inner walls. The buildup of plaque is known as atherosclerosis (ATH-er-o-skler-O-sis). As the plaque increases in size, the insides of the coronary arteries get narrower and less blood can flow through them. Eventually, blood flow to the heart muscle is reduced, and, because blood carries much-needed oxygen, the heart muscle is not able to receive the amount of oxygen it needs. Reduced or cutoff blood flow and oxygen supply to the heart muscle can result in:
Angina (AN-ji-na or an-JI-na). Angina is chest pain or discomfort that occurs when the heart does not get enough blood. Heart attack. A heart attack happens when a blood clot develops at the site of plaque in a coronary artery and suddenly cuts off most or all blood supply to that part of the heart muscle. Cells in the heart muscle begin to die if they do not receive enough oxygen-rich blood. This can cause permanent damage to the heart muscle. Over time, CAD can weaken the heart muscle and contribute to: Heart failure. In heart failure, the heart can't pump blood effectively to the rest of the body. Heart failure does not mean that the heart has stopped or is about to stop. Instead, it means that the heart is failing to pump blood the way that it should. Arrhythmias (a-RITH-me-as). Arrhythmias are changes in the normal beating rhythm of the heart. Some can be quite serious. CAD is the most common type of heart disease. It is the leading cause of death in the United States in both men and women. www.healthline.bravehost.com

| The Harm That Anti-Amalgam Liars Do Mark Thorson 01:21:07 |
| | Here's an example of the sort of harm caused by those who propagate myths about amalgam's alleged harmful effects:
"The only step we've taken that I truly regret is when I had all my "silver" (amalgam) fillings in my teeth replaced (22 fillings, involving 14 teeth). I do know of people that this has helped, but it hasn't helped me at all health-wise and has left me with over a year of constant pain in my teeth. I lost 1 tooth that had to be pulled, as well. The problem was that the dentist did not warn me about just how excruciating the pain could be before I had this done - they said it was similar to getting a filling - and that I'd probably have "a little sensitivity" afterwards. Was THAT ever an understatement! I had to take strong pain-killers daily for a solid two months after the removals, and that just barely kept me comfortable! The other problem is they talked me into having all 4 quadrants of my teeth done the same week - in 4 consecutive days. This was probably the biggest mistake we made. I had no problems with the exposures during the removals - they did follow the recommended protocol for removing the amalgams. However, the pain and problems with chewing I have suffered since then were just unbearable. For almost a year I was not able to chew anything even slightly crunchy - even pickles or onions - and absolutely nothing to eat or drink that was colder than room temperature! If something cold hit those teeth - it would almost make me say dirty words it would hurt so bad! I even had to brush my teeth with warm water only. I'm just now starting to be able to chew regularly again - nuts are still out, but it's getting better all the time. Also, the filling material they used on me was a "composite" and they're not lasting at all. I've already had to have 2 crowns and a bridge (involving 3 teeth) because the fillings started cracking the minute I was finally able to start chewing on those back teeth. I'm just putting this out there because I feel I wasn't given complete information before making the decision to go ahead with my removals. I now would tell people to try absolutely EVERY other way to reduce their toxic exposures first (cleaning their environment, switching to non-toxic products, etc.) before making the decision to have their fillings removed and replaced. And even then - only if you're still really disabled from your condition..."

The researchers also compared the effects of Ritalin to the effects observed by fish oil supplements. Using a comparison figure from a meta-analysis (CMAJ, 2001, Vol. 165, pp.1475-1488), Sinn and her co-workers calculated that the Ritalin had a total effect on the ADHD index of 0.54.
A larger effect value of 0.59 was calculated for the group that took the fish oil supplements for the whole 30 weeks, while the placebo group that switched to fish oil after 15 weeks had an effect value of 1.03.

Correspondence to: Dr M Brandt-Christensen Department of Psychiatry, University of Copenhagen, Rigshospitalet, Blegdamsvej 9, DK 2100 Copenhagen, Denmark; mette.brandt@rh.dk
ABSTRACT Objective: To estimate the risk for persons treated with antidepressants or lithium of subsequent treatment with antiparkinson drugs (APD).
Methods: The Danish national prescription database supplied data on all persons who received antidepressants, lithium, or antidiabetics (first control group). A second control group was included comprising persons from the general population. Outcome was purchase of APD and the study period was 1995 to 1999.
Results: In total, 1 293 789 persons were included. The rate ratio of treatment with APD after treatment with antidepressants was 2.27 (95% CI 2.14 to 2.42) for men and 1.50 (95% CI 1.43 to 1.58) for women. Figures for lithium were almost identical.
Conclusion: Persons treated with antidepressants or lithium are at increased risk of subsequently treatment with APD, showing an association between anxiety/affective disorder and Parkinson's disease.

An alternative explanation for increased antiparkinson medications with lithium or antidepressants 23 May 2006

Dear Editor,
This very interesting report may well be correct in suggesting an association between mood disorders in general (not just depression) and Parkinson's disease (PD). However a more likely consideration, given the observation that the anti-PD medications were mostly begun within the first six months of starting the mood-treatment drugs, is that the parkinsonian syndrome was drug induced. Lithium and the selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors have been associated with parkinsonism (1- 5)and it is likely that some patients receiving lithium were also taking valproic acid, another drug associated with parkinsonism(1). My own experience has been that lithium induced parkinsonism is underrecognized, but I have no data to support that contention.
Unfortunately the data available for analysis from this study will not be able to distinguish drug induced parkinsonism from idiopathic PD but this problem confounds the interpretation provided.
