| | I did a little shopping therapy at the dollar store. I was a bit
anxious because it was so hard to find a place to park, and then I was
worried the whole time that my meter would expire and I'd get a ticket.
None of what I worried about came to pass, and I bought some useful
stuff for way cheap.
Including a jar of Cuban black bean soup, which I will have later
tonight.
And some Brazilian chocolate cookies that taste a whole lot like the
marijuana brownies I used to make. I ate a lot of these cookies and I
haven't got a buzz, so it's just an accident they taste that way. (dang
it)
I'm going to watch a movie or two tonight. I haven't made a mess in
either the living room or the kitchen, so all I have to do is take out
the trash tomorrow. It's all piled up on the cart for wheeling to the
dumpster.
Life in the snail lane.
Thanks everybody, for your supportive remarks. My brother called and
actually apologized for not being able to make this happen. I told him
it was okay, not to worry, there would be other opportunities. I felt
sort of depressed for a while, but I made myself get out and do that
shopping, and I felt better afterward.

| | I've started taking Klonopin 1 mg at night and .5 during the
day. I've been taking it for about 2 weeks and my panics
have subsided radically, my sleep has improved, I'm less
anxious - and my mood is more cheerful as a result!
But - it seems to me that I'm eating more and that I feel
hungry a lot. It could just be that I wasn't eating much
because I was so upset - or....could it be that Klonopin
makes people gain weight?
Thanks for any help you can offer as I can't afford to gain
weight, nor do I want to stop this medication that is
helping me so much.

| | Yesterday I got my hair cut. Nice Arabian barber, the Greek guy has
moved on.
I walked by my old primary school and noticed that the Red Cross
(who bought it when it was no longer needed as a school) have sold
it to a developer. I could buy an apartment that includes what used
to be my hated classroom! I may just do it but apartment living is
not really my thing. I want my own little castle.
I intended to walk home but there was a broken down bus. They never
check tickets on the replacement bus (it is just the next bus that
turns up). I got a free ride for half a mile

| | For years, I have suffered asthma. At first, I didn't take the disease
seriously and had many trips to the emergency room. About half were
life threatening. Soon after, I developed a panic response when my
breathing changed. To be honest, I believe I've always had panic
disorder. It could have intensified the asthma attacks. Does anyone
have asthma and panic disorder? I can control the asthma now, but I am
having panic episodes almost daily. Klonopin seems to control most of
these, but I hate relying on a drug just to make it through the day. I
find it very difficult to talk about the trips to the emergency room.
If you have asthma and panic disorder, I would appreciate some advice.
